Echoes of the Toyota / Subaru '86' thing at the front end.
Not that it is a bad thing.

At that price it competes with the XKR though no ?... bit odd to do that eh ?

I was reading earlier that the F-Type could be specced into the 90k territory.

Awful.

Means the next XK will be starting over the 100k mark I guess.

Will that work?

When the E Type was launched in 1961, it cost about £2300. In that year, the national average wage was around £1000pa, it means the car cost just over two years' wages.

Today I think the average income is about £25,000, maybe £30,000 I'm not sure. So in relative terms, I guess the F Type roughly duplicates the 'real cost' of the E Type.

That's my favourite shape XJS, the in-between facelift.

'This XJS Insignia was commissioned by Mrs Mintjens from Westmalle, Belgium'

I bought my dining table and chairs from Karl Mintjens in Westmalle :scratchchin:

Look at this fcuker. Fly out to Athens with £10K in your pocket and exchange it for the keys, then use a second £10k for fuel to drive it home :)

It does look good but "power steering" being listed as an enhancement, was there ever a no power steering XJS ? I just moved my own car about 10ft down hill with the engine switched off and the steering was unbelievably heavy, to the point I don't think I could safely drive it if the power steering failed.
