Yup.

I think they have 9 now.

3 or 4 of those are race cars. I've been offered one so we can all compete together, but cba. Brother had his second race a couple of weeks ago, he was shit.

My second choice was an MGB with a V8 if I hadn't got the TR7 - you should go racing if someone's offered you a car you dipshit.

Chin scratchers

Saw a Venturi Atlantique Biturbo this afternoon. I'd entirely forgotten they exist. Probably for the best.

I should, I've had the training, i'm godlike behind a wheel with razorsharp instincts and reactions and quite frankly, i'd make my father and brother look more ridiculous than they already do poncing around the back of the grid.

But I'm a physical guy. I gym, I cycle a bit, I play football and keep company with normal people. Not cap donning middle aged podded men with oily fingers and wives whose sole responsibility is to ensure the kettle is on and there's a good supply of yorkshire tea and record grainy videos on ancient cameras from the pit wall to play back to their husbands as some sort of F1 live telemetary substitute.

Not my bag.

I think they did a race series with these, faint memories of it.

No idea, MG one.

The green C is a fuel injection 300bhp job, so I 'think' gets special dispensation to race in the series as it's not original, but don't quote me on it. They race MGFs, MGBs etc..

Although this was a while back .....

That's the thing. Only this one was thankfully lacking the rear wing.

Yes footballer blah blah but this seems a lorra car for the moolah

Bentley Continental GT (2006)
It is with heavy heart that I have decided to sell my beloved Bentley Continental GT. It has served me well and still looks exceptional, but I drive less than 1000 miles a year now and my local Bentley specialist workshop have lost their mechanic that specialises in such things…

Before putting it in AutoTrader, or offering it for PX on a new car, I thought that I would offer it here in case it appeals to someone. It would certainly be a good introduction to Bentley ownership as it has been reliable and a pleasure to own + it still turns heads wherever it goes.

Bentley Continental GT Mulliner 2006
Just 23,000 miles
6.0 litre W12 with twin turbo chargers and Sport exhaust, apparently capable of nigh on 200mph
Semi-automatic gearbox with full-auto, sequential shift or paddle shift
Black paintwork with Beluga black leather interior (seats, upper/lower dash)
Piano black wood dash inserts
Way too many features to list here in full
Paintwork in very good condition for its age
20” Mulliner wheels are in good condition too from memory
Tyres replaced about 1,000 miles ago
Extremely well maintained and comes with full specialist Bentley service history
I have had it for approx. 8 years
Currently on a personal plate which I will place on retention
It is getting 12 months MOT on Friday

Priced at what I believe to be a relative bargain £29,950

fcuk me, that looks good value.

I had a look at those when I bought my merc and realised that they were the only nice car to have depreciated in the last 6 years. That one seems particularly decent value.
I wish the thought of owning one didn't embarrass me so much and that is from someone who has owned two Evos

I do like them, but 30k for something that's 11 years old....

It's not old enough to be a classic, but still old enough for all the technology to be shit (satnav, bluetooth etc)

You drive a Lexus though Moog, you've already gone through the car shame barrier and have lived to tell the tale. Do you also own a pair of golfing slacks?

Do you really think so or have you just become so horrified by the image?

I think they're very accomplished things, though I've never taken to the outside albeit the interior is nice. You're probably right, it's the footballer / yummy mummy image that revolts me.

They have a tremendous cachet everywhere exceot in the Uk.
Saw a standard one prowling around the streets of Bombay a few months back, looking the titties.

I still really like hem, despite the image.

The only person I know who has one is SO rich, that he just leaves it as his lake house in Italy, and even then, it's only his second car there. He keeps his speedboat key on the same key ring as it, which is quite cool, and never ever cleans it or looks after it.

That's my only real experience of them and it was a lovely way to charge around the place so I'd have one in a second. I think if you care about them sufficiently little, they transcend their footballer image and are just excellent and good looking cars.

I tried that with my M5 and whilst it was monstrously capable I just couldn't get past the nagging feeling I was just another cnut in a BMW.

Perfect. Agree totally! The only person I know of who has one kept his at his villa in SPain/Portugal, can't remember as I didn't know him personally, and used it about 4 weeks a year.

The thought of having one as a 'P&J' is too awful to contemplate for long.
