Ner! They don't have to accept the cap if they don't want to, so no jobs at risk surely!

I am not the biggest Ferrari fan and I hope they do not force a breakaway series because it will never work in the long term but I was reading this earlier and it just shows how pathetic, arrogant and down right childish Ferrari are.

It makes me want to hate them for being so pathetic and self-felating.

That is really the crux of it really.

They are upset because they are rubbish this year and they haven't got the FIA on their side to do anything about it anymore or clause they can pull out the bag to be one step ahead of everyone else.

It really shows their hand that having the potential to perform within a set budget alongside the other 'plebs' means they will no longer be the amazing team they always purport to be and they only way they can continue their excellent 'pedigree' is by spending their way out the issues or simply throwing their keys out of the cockpit.

That type of attitude is more damaging to the brand then not being at the front of the grid all the time in my opinion but then maybe it is how they want Ferrari customers to be portraited to the wider public? People have more respect for teams like Williams who stick with it because they love the sport rather then just loving the image of themselves in the sport.

well not quite, just how much money did honda sink into that car lastyear iirc they stopped all development on lastyears car after only a couple of races and went flat out on the now brawn cars. All it shows is honda's engine and box where completley hopeless, also getting that complete pleb fry out of day to day and race day managment has done them a power of good, god know how he has managed to keep a job in F1.

No breakaway. Too much money to be lost on both sides to actually split

It had to happen.

According to Autosport "As part of the deal, Mosley has agreed not to stand again as president of the governing body, despite earlier this week stating that he felt compelled to do so as long as the threat of a breakaway championship remained."

Got in himmel! Max has backed down.

It was always easy to get max to back down.

One 6'6" blonde in leather shorts, a peep-hole bra, wearing an SS cap and carrying a whip and he was putty in your hands allegedly.

The only thing I am not sure of is whether the blonde had to be male or female

I like the quote, paraphrased, "riots nd that happen anywhere, just their car happened to pass through it, they weren't aiming petrol bombs at them...."

Oh well that's alright then!

Bertie just sees dollar bills, given the state of Bahrain at the mo, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near it. One would assume we'll see lots of empty stands on Sunday.

But if somebody from one of the teams get hurt or worse, I think Bernie would face a huge backlash from the teams

Bernie is in it for Bernie lets face it. Empty seats are just about bottom of Bernies priorities, much more income can be reaped from the TV rights and additional sponsors.
Hopefully nothing serious will happen but as KM said I'd definately be less than happy working for a GP team there this weekend.

It's all kicking off at the GP (and not on the track). Large protests and Bernie the Mad Dwarf insisting F1 has nothing to do with it all.

Really? A quick shufty through Twitter and the BBC website doesn't bring anything new up.

Was on ITV news at 10.Protesters saying they wanted F1 out and it was inappropriate to be holding the gp while the country was in turmoil. Bernie was on camera with the prince insisting everything was fine and the presence of the gp didn't have anything to do with the protests.

Brilliant race in Spain, I thought.

I had previously dismissed Pastor Maldonado, on account of him being a paid driver. But I like his name, Pastor.

This is turning out to be the closest run season for a long time isn't it. Yes.

Anyway it's quite exciting.

Kimi Raikkonen is a bit assburgersy isn't he.

Its been a great season, it all sees a tad false though and down to the tyres being, well, shit basically. Plus I kind of liked the old random engine explosions.

I watched this live on the BBC red button/forum yesterday. It didn't look like much at first. The presenters decided to have a look and ended up coughing and wiping their eyes...silly.

Shame it tainted the Williams victory.

It was set off by Sir Franks birthday cake! Did have 70 candles on it though!
Dont think it tainted Williams' victory, it was an accident which unfortunately hospitalised some of the crew. Only one (too many, none the less) person seriously injured but the first victory in eight years for Williams will still be remembered for the action on track rather than in the pits.

Maybe it was the missing litre of fuel from Hamiltons qualifing that was hidden in Williams' garage by Ferrari? :scratchchin:

Agreed.

Apparently PDVSA paid Williams $46mil for sponsorship / letting Maldonado drive. That's what I heard. Someone found Frank's bank statement on the floor near a cashpoint.

I wish Schumacher wasn't so shit now. No one liked him first time around did they. He was like Darth Vader. But now he's underdog, I'd like him to do better.
