Well it's his left hand so it could be from sitting on it.

I'm a leftie though iD.

I wonder whether it could be some new eco washing detergent Mrs Thorn's started using, that's making my clothes cause it by the afternoon, as I wear them through the day.

Good luck finding the irritant, IME it could be almost anything! Might be worth taking the ring off, when you can, while you can.

Although timewise you might be right on the washing powder I also wonder if there's any new food or drink you're having early evening?

No new food or drink, I'm a creature of habit.

I began getting eczema on my hands a few years back. No changes to diet, washing powder, toiletries etc. Turns out the “new and improved” recipe for the shampoo I’d used for years contains something new and shit.

I'm no doctor, but I think I might have broken my finger this afternoon.

Thoughts?

Looks like a distinct possibility. Could be worth getting an x-ray, though even if it is broken most of the time the treatment is to strap it to the next finger. Now and again something more complex is required so it could be worth finding out if it’s one of those cases.

Yes, deffo get an X-ray. I put off getting one for a week and a half and my hand was definitely broken. When/how did you do it?

This afternoon. I caught it on something and it twisted sideways at the knuckle. The full Blade Runner finale.

I'll see how it looks tomorrow then, although it has swollen a lot more since that photo.

But I can't go for an X ray now as I've got to collect the Thorns from the airport this evening.

If it's actually broken, it will hurt like absolute stabby fcuk if you put any pressure on it or try to use it. If you've given it a good twist but not broken it, it'll hurt but not quite as bad.

Come on, Nurse Tokes! This is your Fcukin' thread now!

I did this too, and it wasn't quick enough to fix it so I have a permanently bent little finger. Get it checked out ASAP.

I'll go after work this afternoon. Although it's less sore today, if that means anything.

That's the spirit Damo, ignore the experts, a plucky attitude will see this and Brexit sorted.

If it makes life easier, you don’t need to go to A&E - have a look for a local Minor Injury Unit, they’ll be able to image it and advise.

That's one option, and you probably will be fine.

OTOH thanks to that attitude this is as straight as my little finger gets thanks to not getting an injury checked out in time:

Taking a side-on photo of your own little finger is surprisingly difficult. Top down shows it's damaged but not quite the extent of the damage...

On the plus side it doesn't hurt at all!

Finger Mini News!

A purple rainbow of bruising across the palm now. Also; my phone seems to be stuck on zombiescope, as I'm pretty sure my hand doesn't look that grim in the actual flesh.
