New advert which I thought was quite excellent

OK, I'm confused by that. I'm supposed to want to buy a car that gets ponytailed wierdos to strip off and gets me chucked out of my home with all my stuff thrown out the window?

What am I missing?

Make a video that contains some humerous sequences = more likely to go viral, make advert with wide range of believable car owners in it = wider demographic might consider buying the car.

great review

it does look like an interesting car- Have to say Im not sure I could spend new money on a car with that amount of grunt, but I think its great what they are trying to do-
With 230- 250 BHP I would be seriously interested- Now subaru have knocked the sti down to 26K- I would probably take the boring option and go for the 4wd car-

they do look nice too- Ive seen a few now- your colour is lovely

good photos too!

Toyota GT86 2.0M - OWNED

Unless I've missed something fundamental, the BRZ isn't 4WD.

I read that as he would buy an Subaru Sti for a bit more rather than the GT86

Not been around for a bit, but to wrap this up...

My GT86 seized December 2016 54,000 miles. Long story short; short engine replaced by Toyota under warranty so all good.
I'd lost faith by then though so moved it on February 2017 for £12,000.

Great car, fond memories, nearly bought another when I got bored with the E89 Z4 35i DCT that replaced it.

Is that a common fault with the engines? It isnt the first time I've heard that about them.

Sounds a bit worrying for anyone considering buying one second hand and out of warranty.

I wouldn't worry about one incident of engine failure.

I've only read one report from a GT86 owner though Tokes so as far as I'm aware 100% of cars have suffered a terminal engine failure and that's definitely not good.

No, not a common fault, but there have been a few as with any manufacturer/engine.
Toyota take away the old engine when repaired/replaced under warranty so unable to examine ourselves. Consensus seems to be liberal use of jointing compound used in place of proper gasket may partially block galleries. Dunno for sure though.
Loved the GT86 and seriously considered buying another when I got fed up with Z4.

Haha, I'm sure 8/10 of the engine was still great.

2003 2.7 Boxster.
A bit leggy but I love it - especially with recent weather we've enjoyed. 8-)
