Doubt there were any feathers, they were cheap tescos chickens so it's possible, but i didn't notice any feathers while i was carefully selecting which chickens to buy.

I'm not sure where to go with this next... I need a better camera for a start. It'll be a while before i have a chance to try to fell a tree but it's definitely on the list, crater in the ground should be possible though. maybe fishing if i can find a sufficiently secluded spot.

~G~ wrote:Once, many years ago, some mates and I had acquired some "bangers" from somewhere.

We had hundreds of the ones all fused together, firecrackers.... and some assorted single ones. Mostly the size of markers pens.... apart from one.

One was the size of a small rolling pin.

We saved it until the end, and we expected much from it, as the larger of the small ones were leaving little craters a foot wide in the ground.

We lit it and threw it off a cliff.

I have NEVER heard a sound like it, it shook the fcuking earth and lit up the world. It was fcuking outrageous and set of car alarms 100 yards away. We had done it at about 1am and it woke up literally dozens of people. Oh, and the coastguard came out....

We SHAT ourselves and ran away. Christ knows what it was, we think it might have been real explosives...

I had tinitus for a week.

:hehe:

Love it :hehe:

Similarly, many years ago upon returning from a French exchange (which puts it almost 30 years ago !) loaded with bangers which were on sale in every Tabac in the land, a friend and I set off for the building site near his home.

For a few hours we amused ourselves blowing shit up like coke cans, before the last banger of the day which, although not of ~G~ proportions, was a good 6 inches long and at least and inch thick. We thought it would make the loudest noise if we dropped it into some concrete pipe sections about 4 feet across stood on end, standing about 6 feet high.

Light, lob, jog back a little way.

ALMIGHTYFUCKINGBANGOFBIBLICALPROPORTIONSTHATMADEMYARSETWITCHANDEVERYBIRDFOR3MILESTAKEFLIGHT

It was fcuking huge.

We ran like hell back to his house and hid for several hours, barely speaking, until his Mum came home from work and I set off for home.

Several days later the local rag ran the story of one of the stands at Bedford Town's stadium, which was a stone's throw away across the river, being demolished. The timings coinciding with the moment we lobbed that banger into the pipe.

Pigeon - that buildng site is now Hillgrounds in Kempston, the stadium was the one that used to be near Charles Wells brewery in Ford End Road.

I love the way the camera pans down to the lump of chicken that lands beside the camera man before looking back :hehe:

Can you rig up some sort of blast shield and get the camera closer ?

You don't want to risk the camera though. Thick sheet of perspex or something ? Get you hands on an old double glazed window ?

It's my phone camera, i don't give a toss about it. If i get a new camera then a blast shield will be in order.

This reminds me of Danny Baker when he used to do Radio 1 on Saturday mornings. He used to get people to destroy stuff on air. Pushing wardrobes out of windows sort of stuff.

I enjoyed his programs.

I still get the urge when reading a newspaper at the weekend to start writing turmoil on peoples foreheads.

I am not going to blow up a wardrobe full of custard powder. I have a feeling the result of that could compromise the structural integrity of my test site, something i'd rather avoid since there's a public footpath on top of it. I am prepared to go bigger, but only up to about 10x (by weight of explosives) of what I used on the chickens. I'm already taking fairly large risks here, i'd prefer it if I had a chance of surviving a fcukup. :hehe:

Use the same amount of explosive for the wardrobe as the chicken, but don't forget the custard powder!

Please tell me you don't think you're risking your health for this Aesgarth?

It's funny to watch but certainly not worth you hurting yourself in any way.

In a particularly large way, anyway.
