I have bought another trucker jacket. It's black, with black buttons. I would have said denim jacket, but black denim jackets could be a bit stonewashy, and mine is properly black, like a cotton twill.

Needless to say, it is superb!

I'd been looking for a new winter coat for a while, I wanted something warm and waterproof for standing on train platforms, and something a bit longer than my last one to keep my bottom warm. I bought a Musto Loska last week, and am very happy with it. I zipped off the furry hood part though.

Some Ted Baker charcoal wool coat type thing. IT's thick and warm and great.

Looks smart! A serious wool coat is a strong look, although I prefer a peacoat for that because I'm old.

I like that. Nice clean lines but the pocket zip is annoying.

I was shopping today and saw another jacket that I liked, a peacoat. Hope this doesn't mean I'm old!

The earlier reference that a pea coat was a sign of being old. The only people I can think of wearing them are a long way from old.

Think again. Goes well with skinny jeans.

I bought some trainers. I like trainers, specifically those falling under the header “skate shoes”. I wonder when it will become wrong for me to wear trainers? Have I already passed that point?

These, imho, are fine for someone with fabulous hair in his early 40’s. They would be perfectly acceptable for people in their 3rd and 4th decades too. Is the 6th decade a turning point?

My youngest has a pair too which he now refuses to wear.

Me too!

Wow, it's like we've all come together over our pea coats - we should absolutely bully anyone who doesn't have one.

Who doesn't have a pea coat?
