Datho, I am genuinely intrigued by how poorly resolved my boot appreciation is, compared to your eagle-eyed aesthetic. Sure, given any of the boots on this thread I can tell the difference between it and your one. But the difference in many cases is immaterial. My defence is something to do with how boots are seldom in the eyeline of an observer, along with how these ones are all black and therefore unlikely to shout for attention, and that they are going to be mostly concealed or at least eclipsed by the rest of whatever is worn with them. I also know that you will agree, at least in spirit, with these reasons.
So, please help me understand what drives your quest. Is it a metrosexual version of the acquisitive desire for specifically for dress shoes that is more commonly seen in women? Men/ boys do collect trainers with similar or greater zeal, but not black work bootsy things. Yours sincerely, Babs.
