A warm friendly welcome

Post by Dirk @ Tue Jun 20, 2017 7:48 am

I just noticed that in the new members bit, the
"New CTFers read this" thread has a single post saying "This post intentionally left blank"

And the "CTF threads of interest" topic in the same area has a single post, saying, guess what.

Surely we should be able to come up with some threads of interest again

Is threads of interest still worth having? Not sure I'd bother any more.

Agree. Just get rid of those two sections I reckon.
Also, maybe when someone does join we should not all say "Yeah yeah, we know you are really TokyoSexwale"
I realise that 50% of new joiners ARE TokyoSexwale but the odd one isn't so it is just a bit weird.

Laugh, yes I agree with this.

The weirdest thing of all is that people keep pretending to be new people. I'm not saying it's weird of the person pretending, although it definitely is really weird of them, but it kind of reflects poorly on all of us. Like a group of people in a pub and every time someone 'new' comes into the pub it's one of us in drag, and then the drag begins to slip. One tit sinks down to midriff level and then we all begin to feel foolish to have thought it could have been a new friend, when of course it's just Tokyo again.

How the fake new member 'gag' keeps certain people* entertained, time and time again, is utterly baffling.

He really is the worst sort of person.

It's his wife I feel sorry for. Can you imagine.

Do you think he dresses up in disguise and pretends to be other people at home too?

Fun child transvestism fact - I won a fancy dress competition when I was about eight or nine by dressing up as Nerys Hughes in The District Nurse.

Wasn't that just a new series last year or so?
Or was that something about a midwife?
Are you 9, spastik?

Sorry, the only thing less interesting to me than health drama is period health drama.
You're probably fine mate, carry on.

It was on in the early 80's. I assume you're thinking of Call The Midwife with Miranda Hart.
