The very dark green, almost black depending on light, that Maserati use is one of my favourite colours on a car.

The big-bumper Mk2 Golf GTI always looked classiest in Oak Green.

And, while this might be getting a bit obscure for some, the Peugeot 205 STDT came in a particularly good dark green by the name of Oberon Green.

special trim diesel turbo apparently.

I just googled that. Never knew what it stood for until now.

They were a run-out car which appeared at the end of the 205's life and came with a whole stack of options as standard as well as an easily tunable engine which just needed a bit of spannerwork to the diesel pump to up the power by a large amount.

I always liked the design feature by the filler cap on the C pillar of the 205.

I mixed this colour myself.....by adding all sorts of leftovers....still holding up well considering it was my first metallic full respray done on HVLP in a garden gazebo.

I would have my 7 repainted in the classic "Prisoner" colour scheme in a heartbeat. BRG and Lotus yellow, I believe.

However, I'd leave the clamshells as green, not yellow:

Incidentally, someone on the Caterham bits for sale Facebook page were selling four of those "Prisoner" wheels (top photo) with decent tyres for £150 recently, but I was too slow. Gutted. Rare as hen's teeth and very nice looking wheels.

Is aftermarket air-con even a thing? I had no idea.

Good question. 25, I think. +/- a year.

Not cheap to insure as we lived in Camden then and I had zero NCB. IIRC around £2k for the first year vs a £10k purchase price. That was back in the days when the only pull on one's money was precisely what one wanted though, so fcuk it.

Just bought a few cars.......one for my partner who is a bit eccentric with his tastes.....hence a 2012 Lincoln MK-X.....Jesus....what a pile of shite.....but it has all the bells and whistles so he's happy. Bet it loses money quicker than a pikey with a credit card.
The other(My choice) was this rarish Imola Red 540i......picking it up today.

Likewise. They still look great IMO. Saw one in a carpark a few days ago and that's what I thought.
