Don’t worry, it’s probably just me.

Driving home after work a phalanx of assorted dark-coloured cars and motorbikes flashed past me with sirens and blue lights furiously sweeping people out of their way. Eight cars and four bikes, all together; including a couple of Audi S-things and an ML63. Very unusual to see so many stealth cars on business without anything marked there as well.
So either something very important was happening, or they were rushing back to HQ for tea after an exercise.

When I used to walk from Moorgate to Mansion House most mornings, I enjoyed seeing police on bikes flash through the City, halt traffic and allow some form of armoured van and a couple of cars into the back of the Bank of England. They'd get off their bikes, close the road and others would stand guard with large guns, then all disappear off again when the big gate shut.
What might they be carrying? Gold or large sums of cash? I just enjoyed the spectacle.
