And excellently, my son and I had very different ideas what constitutes a cool Ford:

After winning the lottery I wonder how long it will take me to buy a 356?

Love the Celica, except for the slot mags. What a great colour too.

I'm not normally a fan, but I think they really suit that car/colour combo

I saw an extremely rare and special car on the road in Pembrokeshire today. Couldn’t get a picture as I was driving but it was this -

I initially thought it might be some kind of French Le Mans Index Of Efficiency racer due to the shape and the colour but I googled the number plate and it seems it’s the Costin-DKW aka Costin Ultra Low Drag Vehicle, designed by Frank Costin (the Cos in Marcos and Cosworth) in 1962 for TVR but never put into production. The engine is a 35bhp two stroke, the body is a plywood monocoque with a thin skim of fibreglass over it, it would do over 100mph and it sat three abreast on a single bench seat. A bit of a surprise to see it being driven on the road, it’s the sort of thing one might more reasonably expect to see at Goodwood.

Frank was Costin, his younger brother Mike was Cosworth.

What a family, eh?!
