And excellently, my son and I had very different ideas what constitutes a cool Ford:

After winning the lottery I wonder how long it will take me to buy a 356?

Love the Celica, except for the slot mags. What a great colour too.

I'm not normally a fan, but I think they really suit that car/colour combo

I saw an extremely rare and special car on the road in Pembrokeshire today. Couldn’t get a picture as I was driving but it was this -

I initially thought it might be some kind of French Le Mans Index Of Efficiency racer due to the shape and the colour but I googled the number plate and it seems it’s the Costin-DKW aka Costin Ultra Low Drag Vehicle, designed by Frank Costin (the Cos in Marcos and Cosworth) in 1962 for TVR but never put into production. The engine is a 35bhp two stroke, the body is a plywood monocoque with a thin skim of fibreglass over it, it would do over 100mph and it sat three abreast on a single bench seat. A bit of a surprise to see it being driven on the road, it’s the sort of thing one might more reasonably expect to see at Goodwood.

Frank was Marcos, his younger brother Mike was Cosworth.

What a family, eh?!

Bugatti breaks 300mph in a Chiron.

That is a great looking car!

I saw a 69reg (nice) Toyota Supra today. We were creeping along in traffic so had a good chance to see it from all angles. It seems all angles are completely gopping. A BMW Z4 with a Bradford* bodykit. A real lesson in Stop. Designing.

Look at this tremendous thing!

It's the new RS6 and I have a tremendous yearning for one:

Yawn, it's another Audi/Lamborghini identity crisis, designed by stylists who have forgotten everything about surfacing.

I remember when S/RS models were almost indistinguishable from the regular cars, with just some subtle arch flaring and silver mirrors. Why are modern performance cars so aggressive-looking?

Sorry, they don't. They look like they've been designed for the kids who used to glue bodykits to Corsas, and who have now grown up and got jobs in the City. They shout 'get out of my way peasant'.

You're quite right ttwiggy, and clearly one of the more stylish members on here.

Car manufacturers seem to make even their piddly little city cars look like they want to eat your children these days. No concept of elegance, subtlety or class.

This is what a fast Audi should look like.

Granted, they would eat through a gearbox in under 5k miles, but this is about aesthetics.

It's hard to tell because they've dicked about with the photos so they look like artists impressions. With gloss paint and without those shitty light grey side steps and rear W/M shape thing, it could look quite good.

I'd fvcking break it though I know.

The new Porsche electric car (Taycan or something ?) looks great.

It looks like an actual Porsche, rather than a weird electric ar.

0-60 in less than 3 seconds and reusable performance too apparently.

Odd though that they have called it Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S.

But if i was rich I'd love one!
