Haha! I just forget about the fcuker, plus it probably keeps it safe from gypsies because they think I'm one of there own.

I properly LOVE my gypsy horseshoe as it makes me feel like part of the travelling community and also the 4x4 offroad community! One Wife, Left It!!

Embarrassing for me? You came across as that short arsed friendless shit! And you know I respect you Dis, you've got the curls and only a slightly receding hair line. Should we just do a Dis, back down and hug?

These look like bloody good value for the money. I have had my eye out for a while for a V8 Defender but they are just stupid money for what they are so might be tempted over to this dark side.

I've just been in to see my garage man and leave the truck in for tomorrow. He showed me the new tyres, which have arrived already.

"Your monster tyres are here!" he grinned. "They're beasts!"

Like foo, I wondered for a second if I'd got my order wrong. But when I went through and looked at them and checked, yup, the Wrangler ATs, in 265 70 16. They don't half look big off the car though!

I'm dead looking forward to picking it up tomorrow now to see how they look.

I want these but they don't seem to do them in my size, I'd have to get 5 new wheels.

I really like those too, but they're much more expensive than other decent branded tyres in the same size. And with the few miles the Shogun will do I just couldn't stomach the extra.

I don't need them, they might come in handy perhaps three times a year but I want them because they look cool. I have Hankook Dynapro HPs at the moment.

General Grabber AT are excellent.

Though they do sound like Rods military alter ego.

My mechanic has just phoned to tell me the tyres are on ("looks like a monster truck!") and the service is complete. "Anything to worry about?" I asked, timidly.

"Nope!" he said. "They're brilliant these Shogun's. Bulletproof. You either get a rotten one, or a really good one. And this looks like a good one".

I've never phew!ed so much.

Grunty tyres are good. Mine don't have a ridiculously high sidewalls though.

The main reason for high sidewalls is clearance, the only other way to lift diffs and axles is portal axles.

Flex in the tyre to grip better on rocks etc, a low profile tyre can't 'wrap around' a rough surface in the same way.
