What have you watched on telly?

Some things cultured but mostly films and telly stuff.

I tried to watch Russian Doll but switched it off after five minutes. I’m not sure I was in the mood for it.

We're 1/2 way through The Passage and it's not too bad. Conversely, we both loved Russian Doll.

Has anyone watched Sex Education? Gillian Anderson thing set in Wales? Funny as fcuk.

I happened to see the first episode from S1 of GoT last week and it looks surprisingly dated considering it was only made in 2011. Mind you, I noticed the same thing with Vikings after rewatching the first series.

I know some of you hate Gervais but has anyone watched any After Life? I watched the first two last night and there are some proper laugh out loud bits in them that some of you would like I think.

I’m almost finished White Gold then will be watching After Life.

I think Gervais is brilliant at this sort of thing, Derek was excellent. I like his stand up too.

Funnily enough, I read a review of that earlier and was debating whether to give it a go. I really dislike Gervais, both as an actor and a comedian, so was unsure.

If you hate him, probably best not watching it.

I suppose I was wondering if the quality/content of the programme would overcome my dislike for him, if that makes sense. The review I read made it sound interesting.

It’s quite Gervais-centric and I suspect that would over shadow any interestingness. Having said that, give it a go!

This isn't at all helpful but I half-like, half-hate him, and I do continue to enjoy his programmes. His stand-up shows are too pure-him to be any good IMO, too much 'needless to say I had the last laugh', but I find his TV programmes funny and I really like how they're unashamedly sweet in places.

Anyway we've watched one of these and I laughed out loud and look forward to seeing more.

The first episode of the second series of Fleabag. I heart this so much and can’t believe I didn’t discover it earlier. It’s hilarious, awkward and cringey all at the same time.

I quite like Gervais so will give it a go. His Hitler joke from Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee still makes me laugh:

On the last day, the Russians were advancing. They were 200 yards down the road. He married Eva Braun, right? They had a cake. And some champagne. The retired to bed early. In the morning, he poisoned her and shot himself, and the gardener burned the bodies. Right? Now, say what you will about Hitler, but that’s a terrible honeymoon isn’t it? That’s a shit honeymoon!

Super busy with work - big changes coming up, essentially (but not quite) my company is being bought by my current clients and I'm taking a role with them.

So just really manic getting it all sorted, it's all good though!

Not a huge fan of the act to be fair, not my sort of humour, but that’s okay it’s not for everyone. Offscreen though, no thanks.

Thankfully I skipped the VIP package off Netflix, so didn't have to go through the meet'n'greet.

Does that mean you have to put another chair in front of you to make sure you don't get the extra legroom?

Very much this. Binge watched it over the last couple of days on planes and was choked up big time. As well as laughing.

Really sweet, clever, touching and funny.
