The Mummy was rubbish so he might improve it.

So was Van Helsing.

Don't worry. My thinking it was rubbish shouldn't affect how much you liked it.

I suspect that KM only enjoyed it 'cos Beckinsale was running around with a delightfully comedic accent while wearing yet more Underworld-esque outfits. It's just about the only redeeming feature of the whole mess, if I recall.

Why?

That will ruin a favourite film - the Indian guy just wouldn't be the same nowadays, played by Jonah Hill or whoever.

I'd like to see a remake of Inception, I think. Or maybe Pirates of the Caribbean. Transformers could probably use a reboot an' all.

This is quite an interesting take on it all.

Teeks, Teebeebies, you may like that article. Or find it diverting if nothing else.

When I click on that link it makes me wait 14 seconds before displaying the article, with a countdown clock running, is that some advert running that I don't see because I have ad-block on?
Wasn't Terminator 4 universally hated? I never watched it because it got such poor reviews.

Terminator: Stagnation was pretty poor. I barely remember it and I've watched and remembered literally some terrible films.

It's an interesting article but only slightly, a brother and sister from two different styles of production companies are looking to make two or three new Terminator films. The franchise rights may lapse to James Cameron in 2019.

Or could click on top right and skip the advert rather than sit waiting like a potato..

I thought that could be a trap and take me to the main page where I would have to navigate my way to the article in question.

I wonder if they will make it less gay.

Shouldn't be difficult. Brokeback Mountain was more hetero.

I've heard talk for ages about a remake of Oldboy, but because I wasn't really paying attention I didn't realise how far along it was -

Trailer later this week.

I should watch the old one first, I think.

So I can be properly angry with the Hollywoodisation of the remake.

But making an English language version of a film is a fairly well trod path, going back to at least The magnificent seven, sometimes they are fairly poor, sometimes a decent enough re-working. There is a significant proportion of the film watching audience who refuse to watch a film with subtitles and dubbing a film is terrible, so these remakes are for them mainly aren't they?
I though Oldboy was OK, but now I know what they big reveal is I don't want to see a new version with Americans in the lead roles.
