I went all the way to New York with two friends to watch The Phantom Menace, as it was released early out there. We saw it once and couldn't really bring ourselves to admit how shit it was, as we'd gone to so much effort to see it. So, convinced that it must be the jet-lag, we went to see it again the following day. Turned out it wasn't the jet-lag.

Wow, Ttwigs! That is some effort.

What did you think of the Force Awakens?

Liked it a lot, didn't love it. Rogue One was, for me, the Star Wars film I'd been waiting 40-odd years for.

Also, I've just realised that The Phantom Menace covers your other thread about 'worst film seen in the cinema' (outside of some truly dire press screenings I've attended over the years).

Yeah that wins the other thread twigs, you have to repost it in there for it to count though.

Casino Royale twice. Not by choice - two people surprised me with tickets as a treat so had to pretend the second time was my first IYSWIM (you know what I'm talking about ladies, amiright? >finger pistols<)

My first 'proper' part time job whilst still at school was working in the ABC cinema...

I've seen many films 50x or more but two stand out. I have seen Life of Brian over 100 times and Flash Gordon over 150 times. Oddly I'll still watch either of them if they happen to be on tv and I can pre-quote every line. Much to my wife's annoyance.

I saw Southpark the Movie twice as it was so funny.

The Matrix twice as it was brilliant.

Also, the first of the Transformers reboot twice, which looking back I'm quite surprised by.

The first two Star wars films, they were shown as a double bill the year after Empire strikes back came out, I went to the screening with a French exchange student who was staying with us and remember being really annoyed that he said he preferred the first one and wouldn't agree ESB was better, I'd love to meet him now and show him all the critical reviews stating ESB is the best of all those films.

Only one which was was Rogue One. A mate wanted to see it on release night but my wife (also a huge fan) couldn't make it so saw it a week later with her. Actually enjoyed it more the second viewing.

I've not seen a film yet which deserves a full cinema viewing more than once. The ones that need it are normally plot thin ime so don't get a second viewing regardless of the media.

The Empire Strikes Back.
First time my mum took me and then I went back the following two days on my own and sat through it twice.

I have gone to several different films on the same day but this is still the only one I've viewed multiple times.

Independence Day twice. Once with some friends, then again shortly after because my aunt asked me to take my youngest cousin who was about 12 at the time. I didn't want to see it again and he did nothing but fidget throughout the entire film which really annoyed me.
