What sort of things/genres are you both into? And what have you already seen and liked?

I was thinking of it as the sort of thing that might make one extend one's subscription.

That's only 3 hours a day to watch the whole series. And it's very moreish apart from the episode with the fly.

That said 30 days of BB and I think you might start thinking you were a drug baron.

The OA is awful, the ending is just such a waste of time. Shame as it's good until that point, but then I was ready to rage-destroy the TV.

I recently watched 42 grams, which is great.

It's about a chef who was running a restaurant out of his home, then tries to open a restaurant with his wife called 42 grams. His aim was to get 2 michelin stars in the first year of it opening.

  • SPOILER: Mouse over to reveal
    • The whole show builds up to him getting his 2 stars, which he does. He cries.

Then it ends. After the credits

42 Grams got its 2 michelin stars in it's first year.
42 Grams got 2 stars again in 2015 and 2016.
The chef and his wife got divorced in Jan 2017
      Restaurant closes in July 2017.

      The fcuk!

In my house we like I, Zombie and The Good Place. Both are easy to watch. I watch a lot of Netflix films, but films are harder to recommend beyond the obvious.

Are the NF films good for your unconventional tastes?

I really struggle to find films I want to watch. More often than not it’ll be a rewatch of a film I like but haven’t seen for a while. Forex Looper.

Amazon Prime is a bit better but can be annoying because you’ll see a film and add it to your list but when you go to watch it a couple of weeks later it’ll say “Oh, that film? Yeah it’s available to watch but it’s not free any more. You can rent it for a fiver”

Definitely. There are always more films I want to watch on there then I have time to get through.

Everything I've put in the film reviews thread lately has been NF'ed.

I've got a good couple of dozen on my watchlist at the moment.
