This looks quite a decent alternative to a pricey Belstaff

As long as you're a fat knacker.

edit OK the dark brown is not just in XXL.

That Belstaff Mohave is rather nice.

I haven't heard that pejorative for a while, is that a common expression in the NE? In Cork it means someone who works in the horse meat trade, ergo probably a member of the travelling community, also probably of modest means.

Oops :)

Strawms - obv the knacker man is who takes your dead horse away, but yes 'knacker' is a common enough perjorative round here, especially prefaced by 'fat'. No idea if the two are linked, though I guess they may well be.

Knacker is always preceded by fat. Just like no other objects are ever akimbo.

Dis - just bought a new jacket and thought of you as you've had jacket indecision previously. I did have a leather one but I was never totally happy with the cut of it and wanted a lightweight jacket for the summer.

I popped into my local bike shop earlier and looked at some 'Held' jackets - really nice and my one is half textile/leather so is really lightweight and also has a kevlar lining.

It's the 'street hawk' and is somehow relaxed yet fitted at the same time:

I quite like that. I also quite liked your leather one though (SPIDI??) so PM if you're Ebaying it.

I've not done anything in my jacket indecisiveness. I ultimately decided that if I was going out out, I'd be wearing the full leathers regardless, and if I was cutting about town, I might as well wear an actual nice jacket and to hell with the safety aspect.
