He was in Tavistock not Toxteth.
Anyway a cordless angle grinder would be faster and less trouble.

It's a grinder proof chain.

Is it a grinder proof lock too?

None of this really matters. By putting a lock on you are merely defending yourself against people who don't realise that it doesn't matter what they do to break it or whether it's quick or slow because nobody will take a blind bugger of notice anyway. If you're still nervous, wear a high-visibility jacket for extra invisibility.

Some cnut once put an enormous lock and chain round my bicycle, connecting it to someone else's bicycle and a lamp post. I spent something like 20 minutes sawing through it with a junior hacksaw and nobody even looked at me.

(They were a particularly stupid cnut, too, because while the chain was hardened steel and unhacksawable, the lock was brass.)

The actual reason I put the lock on was thag there wasn't room for a lock and my helmet in the top box. I never bother using s lock unless there's something to lock to.

Now that makes sense.

Talking of topboxes it always amuses me how many claim to hold two helmets but very few ever can.

That's the thing about helmets. Whenever you try and do anything with them other than putting them on your head they suddenly become fcuking huge.

That is true.

Only way two lids fit in my topbox is because I wear a Davida open face not one of the those modern new fangled things.
