Not really, because it didn't really convey my true feelings in quite the way Tokes did:

Sigh.

Deep down I knew a full resto was what I was going to do anyway.
Sometimes you have to think shit things out loud to realise how shit they are.

Agreed - doesn't work at all for a scooter.

Genuine age-related patina is fine on a Vespa but there's nothing more tragic than obviously manufactured aging. It's like all those identikit "rat-look" American pick-ups which have had the paint sanded down then been lacquered over the top.

It doesn't fit a scooter at all.

I delivered the red bastard last night. The bloke is a sparks and restores split screen campers as a hobby. I predict I won't hear from him again: his personal pride will not let him phone me for advice.

In the pre-handover conversation I mentioned that I hadn't fitted a mirror because it was down to personal taste (I'd forgotten): bar end, leg frame, standard handlebar mount.

Him: Doesn't matter I'm going to Mod it up anyway
Me: Sorry?
Him: Yeah, I'm going to stick mirrors all over the front and racks on the back.
Me: But you realise it's quite rare?
Him: yeah but I want to give it the Mod look
Me: Dallas

(what I really wanted to say: ffs you cnut! Just buy a fvcking largeframe piece of shit and fvck that up instead you bloody moron! That's what Mods used anyway you halfwit fvcktard!

I know the the little shit gave me hell for the last 9 months but I have grown attached to it and it doesn't deserve that shit.
I honestly came within a whisker of closing the van doors and driving off.

This just proves there is another person like you with fvckall taste.

Funny reading that thread and seeing how little I knew and how some of the shit would come back to haunt me.
My mate in Italy is sorting the oil leak on the orange one and has removed the engine only to find that the cvnts at Wildcat didn't change the bearing on the con-rod. Lazy slapdash shits.
Hopefully it hasn't damaged the casings. Hopefully their workshop will get flooded or burnt.
