Saab Turbo 900 16V

Post by Me. @ Sun Jan 08, 2017 8:35 am

1989 Saab 900 Turbo 16V Manual in black with dark grey automatically heated leather, Central locking, elec windows, elec mirrors, elec sunroof, iPod stereo, in decent condition for one of these but not a show car at all.....to make into a really nice car it would need.....
New roof lining, new r/f wing, repair to inner bonnet strut, repair to washer bottle carrying base, l/f window mechanism stops an inch too short, so you have o help It up to seal, slight repair to stitching on drivers seat base...just stitching, leather is fine. Everything works, New head gasket, new hydraulic pipework, new rear brakes for MOT, new turbo seals incl oil supply gaskets, new matching tyres on correct alloys which are in nice condition. Used daily, quiet engine, doesn't pop out of gear, boosts well and is absolutely solid underneath. Bottom of doors/inner have slight rust but nowhere near as bad as most and easily salvageable, currently treated.
Try find another....this is the APC Turbo 16V.

Always fancied one of those.

Apparently I have too many cars at present so will have to pass.

I don't find changing gear manually a chore, well maybe in stop/start traffic in London it's a bit annoying but not as annoying as being stuck in stop/start traffic.

I'm easy.....as long as it's a modern Auto with a big enough engine then fine, but a puny motor with a slushbox is crap. Most fun I had recently was in a manual 1250cc Zetec Fiesta.......great fun!
