Been a while ....update.

Bought a lovely Peugeot 504 Ti Farina coupe. I managed to convince the daft Kugelfischer injection system to work and now it drives lovely!
Put the old 450SLC back on the road after 7 years of crud was cleaned off.....easy MOT after new tyres. I love this thing.
Managed to fit a plexiglass panoramic roof to my E34 Touring, just needs a bigger engine and new interior now.
Bought a 2001 Ferrari 456GTA-M at auction....piece of crap despite only 20 000 miles.
Started to get Ferrari 400GT ready for auction, one of 23 RHD in the total of 147 ever made.
Bought a E39 540iM
Might have mentioned I sold the E-Type, SL60 AMG and Lancia Thema 8.32 at brightwells in Bicester Heritage a short while back.
Bought a 1986 Nissan Sylvia Turbo Coupe
Bought two Fiat Panda 4x4 (early models....1988)

That SLC is a thing of rare beauty.

What are the issues with the 456?

Ex Dubai car (456) so dash is hard as nails and starting to lift, tyres are like the plastic ones you get on a kids ride-on toy, electrics are playing up....suspension light stays on.....have to do the canbelts still....service is all done. Just a very hard worn car for the mileage really.

IMO I'd rather have a Peugeot 406 V6 Coupe......Why Pinninfarina allowed two such similar designs is beyond me. Even the interior on the Pug is better.

Love that 504.

Any experience of the Lexus RX400 hybrid Me? Faaaamily member wants one. I'm worried about batteries and stuff as it'll be 10 years old.

I love the Pee-uggy-ott, and the injection system sounds like it's worth a thread in its own right (although I'm not sure even Deuts would agree...)

I tend to steer clear of old hybrids after having had a Pious that was essentially a 1500cc dragging a fat arse battery all over the place. Old battery cars are a massive gamble unless the battery is interchangeable or has the ability to be upgraded cost effectively. IMO only....

Actually I would be really interested, the metering on the mechanical PI system manages to be brilliantly simple yet fiendishly complex at the same time.

That Merc is absolutely les tits.

I painted it in a pop-up gazebo with a HVLP gun and cheapshit Earlex blower, First I painted it in the original Thistle Green.....looked crap, bought black paint, painted it in that....looked crapper. Mixed the green and black I had left and a tin of emerald I found somewhere and this was the result. TBH it needs block sanding and repainting as it was my first attempt at metallic paint and only my second ever car I painted in total....using a gun designed to paint a garden fence didn't help.

I had a look on eBay after seeing that, and promptly changed my mind.
