Eat them on their own or toss over the pork and apple salad you just made, OK?

Rinse off the horrid stringy flesh bits, boil for 5 min in salted water, dry fully then coat with olive oil and a pestled mix of spices. I used salt, pepper, chilli flakes and paprika. Roast on a tray for 10-15m at 180C.

They look like you've picked them out of a shit. I'm sure they're lovely though.

Just had this amazing delicious wonderful mess for breakfast.

Image

Onions, peppers, chilli, tomatoes, garlic, spicy sausage, chorizo, ham, egg, cheese, hot sauce, paprika and a squeeze of lime juice. All in one pan. Cook until delicious.

Yes, my yoke broke putting the egg in.

I could have eaten it straight out the pan, honestly. It was so good.

half a kilo of cow rump, please excuse the pink BBQ plate, it was the only one I had big enough to hold the pile of food. Few minutes on the griddle pan then oven for a few minutes more, rubbed with sea salt and crushed peppercorns.

Do you ever get that thing where you cook a meal and you are unreasonably proud of what you serve up?

I did enchiladas for the family tonight (yes, from scratch), and they were frankly bloody brilliant.

Good food. I made a fine, fine cottage pie at the weekend.

How adventurous are your kids with food? Mine is depressingly basic and very picky with her likes. Try as I might she decides she doesn’t like things before she’s tried them, much as I did as a kid.

Generally mine are quite adventurous. I love hearing them ordering pigs cheeks and octopus at their favourite restaurant. But they sometimes still decide they don't like stuff without trying it

Proud the other day when they decided I should open a fish restaurant and then listed a load of dishes I cook to be on the menu With roast dinners as a special.

Mine's weird. On the one hand he is militantly opposed to fruit with meat. Ok, you might think. That sounds reasonable OH WAIT HE DOESN'T LIKE APPLE SAUCE ON ROAST PORK?

On the other, he likes to look his food in the face when eating it. Actually literally. It's one of the reasons he'll order a whole fish if it's on the menu. I'm sure if anywhere round here did pig's head, he'd have that.

He was a bit picky as a kid but that soon dropped off when he qualified as a cook. He'll cook and eat pretty much anything now, notwithstanding the whole "fruit with meat" weirdism.

Right. Look. I love spicy food : curries and chilies and all sort of Mexican and etc.

But these are fcuking ridiculous.

Holly cow, my tongue is actually burning. I keep having to stop eating them to have a few minutes recuperation. Shitting hell.

Disappointing.

Can any man really claim to love a woman if he isn’t prepared to stalk her relentlessly at her place of work?
