I'd never heard of that sort of wife refurbishment.

Thanks for the tip ID

Laugh @ Dirk

I bought a bunch of those crispers from Lakeland a few years ago.

Yes and hell yes.

It's an idea I suppose, but that's a bit E>r so I'd much rather just buy one.

A new one is the best option obv but my suggestion was in case you couldn't find one.

E>r You haven't factored W > E
where W = wife.

Might end up having to try and mix and match, but I'll probably have to brave an actual shop to make sure they fit together ok.

You have of course explained to your wife that fitting the grid on the pan to cook the pizza reduces if not totally negates the benefit of the grid?

Yes I'm sure you have. Carry on.

We’ve got one of those pans/trays with the holes in. It’s purely because the shelves in one oven have really wide gaps and ready made pizzas* would sag through the holes.

It’s fine but it doesn’t transfer any more heat than not having one I don’t think.

Also have a pizza stone but at temperatures that a domestic oven can reach they’re largely pointless ime.

Can't agree there. I get decent results with mine, although I do give it a damn good pre-heat at max temp. It cooks a hand-made pizza in 5 mins with a lovely crispy base.

This isn't my finest work (bit overdone) but it gives an idea

Fair point for proper dough. I was basing it on ready made pizzas.

You need an Ooni btw. Can’t remember if I posted these. Cooks in 60 seconds.

Banana is a nice complementary topping on a ham and pineapple pizza

Looks good Teeks but outdoor-only is no good to me.

That said has anyone tried a stone on a conventional kettle bbq?

I have and it was OK but burnt the bottom before the top was completely cooked.

And I seem to remember you ridiculing me for it. Wait there I’ll see if I can find it.

Speaking of curries, I’ve been making an effort to try different Indian dishes out and had a Hyderabadi Kerahi last night and it was amazing!! Even the name is making my mouth water.

An Indian friend of mine says that you can judge a curry house by the quality of their Karahi. Whenever I try a new place out I always order that to benchmark them.

What’s Hyderabadi about yours? Or is that just where they come from?

Interesting, I’ll have to do the same. No idea about the Hyderabad bit, guess it’s where they’re from.

Banana isn't the best bait to catch an Italian, I found corned beef works best.

On a curry tip I made chapatti last night to go with a curry. First time I’ve made them and I can’t believe that it’s taken this long to try it.

So easy to make. Flour, salt, oil, water. Ten minutes from ingredients to plate.
