One for Dibs, as he clearly still hasn't grown out of such things...

They are a recent discover for me, they’ve done 4 or 5 cover EPs

Their own stuff is very good, I’ll post something elsewhere so TT can mock me again.

Might have posted this before, can't remember.

Not really a cover given it's the same people who recorded the original, but it highlights the genius of great songwriters and producers. Ace.

Apparently Lana del Rey has covered Radiohead’s Creep.

Sort of. Same melody, different lyrics, and re-titled “Get Free”. Radiohead are not amused.

I hate that bollocks. The verse uses a similar progression/melody I suppose but the chorus is nothing like it. More like a Carpenters song.

There’s a huge difference between ripping off and sampling intelligently or being inspired by something. Ultimately we only have 12 tones to play with so short of producing avant garde noise, I’m sad to say someone somewhere has already used the chord progression you just wrote. So get over it. Creep made them a fcuking fortune and her song will not, I confidently predict, so who cares?

Thom Yorke is just a ridiculous miserable cnut who can fcuk off, OK (computer)??

Not to mention they’re not suing anyway, particularly given they themselves were sued for Creep and had to give writers credit away.

The farts playing keyboards are really annoying they way they jig to the beat- they need a slap.
The girl has a very annoying moany voice- she needs a big bucket of cold water thrown over her.

Agree with everything, D. Also:

Better sit down as you are reading this,

Ok Computer is a fvcking dirge from beginning to end. Music for the depressed, suicidal and hipster wankers.

TY live always seems smashed out of his head, the prat. Filed along with Bono, Chris Martin and Axl Rose.

I like some Radiohead stuff, Tom Yorke has funny eyes* which could account for his looking intoxicated on stage. Radiohead have little to do with this lawsuit as KM pointed out above Creep royalties partially go to whichever record companies owns the copyright on the Hollies song on which it is based (40% apparently). Whoever started this lawsuit will be either lawyers for the record company with publishing rights to Creep or the Hollies. Radiohead started as a band at least 20 years before hipsters were a thing again, so to berate them as hipster wankers makes you seem very Victor Meldrew.

Gosh, I wasn't keen on that either and I was prepared to give it the benefit of the doubt as I love the song. Their voices did not work well together. I've never listened to Chvrches but I might give them a go.

All true, but they still annoy me irrationally. I don’t see them as hipster though. More ‘trampster’.
